This sauna embodies the traditional Showa style, offering a unique experience. When I ventured into the sauna room, a lady advised me to don a bath towel. Despite my usual practice of placing a towel on the sitting space, I sensed the authority of the lady, whom we affectionately call "Nushi" in Japanese, and promptly responded with a respectful "yes ma'am!"
Later, another customer informed me that this particular Nushi was a loyal customer, emphasizing the importance of adhering to her rules. To my surprise, the Sento had multiple Nushis, diligently overseeing the behavior of young or irregular customers. With the support of other customers, I started to enjoy the sauna experience. However, there was an incident where a young girl entered the room without a bath towel and neglected to pay the additional fee. The Nushi swiftly intervened, instructing the girl to follow the rules and pay the fee.
Upon their return to the sauna room, the girl seemed distressed, prompting me to engage the Nushi in conversation to shift the mood. I asked her several questions, diverting her attention from the earlier incident...
